About ZillyPlanet
ZillyPlanet was created to help children build math confidence today and future-ready thinking for life.

We believe kids need more than memorized answers. They need to understand concepts, explore strategies, solve real-world problems, and build the confidence to keep going when learning feels hard.
ZillyPlanet starts with math for grades 2-8 and is growing toward science, technology, and engineering learning experiences that help children connect school skills to the world around them.
Why we built ZillyPlanet
Too many students experience math as a set of steps to memorize.

They may learn how to get through a worksheet, but still struggle to explain what they are doing, apply the skill in a new situation, or see why the concept matters.

We built ZillyPlanet to make learning feel more connected, more supportive, and more meaningful.

Students begin with a concept, explore strategies in the Lab, then move into personalized missions based on their interests. Along the way, they get hints, retries, explanations, and encouragement as they work toward mastery.
Learning should connect to real life
Children are more motivated when learning connects to something they already care about.
A student who loves sports can explore data, timing, and strategy.
A student who loves animals can think through habitats, feeding, and measurement.
A student who loves cooking can use fractions, ratios, and scaling in a recipe mission.

The math stays connected to grade-level standards. The mission makes the learning feel useful.
Our approach
Kids do not all learn the same way.

Some need visuals. Some need extra practice. Some need to understand the story first. Some need a hint before frustration takes over. Some are ready for a bigger challenge.
ZillyPlanet is designed to support different learning speeds, interests, confidence levels, and ways of thinking through visual strategy exploration, scaffolded missions, adaptive support, and parent visibility.
Built for different ways of learning
The ZillyPlanet learning journey moves students from discovery to mastery.

-
Students choose a subject.
-
Characters introduce the concept and mission.
-
Students watch a short mission briefing.
-
In some subjects students will explore field notes and vocabulary.
-
Students will explore strategies in the Lab.
-
They practice through personalized mastery missions.
-
They use hints, retries, and explanations when they get stuck.
-
They continue until they build confidence and mastery.
-
Students who are ready can keep practicing or enter a challenge mission.

This approach helps students understand the concept, apply it in context, and build stronger problem-solving habits.
Our mission
Our mission is to help children build confidence, curiosity, and stronger thinking skills through learning experiences that feel personal, supportive, and connected to real life.

We want students to see STEM subjects as something they can understand and use, not something they have to fear or memorize.
Our vision
We are building an early learning platform for a world shaped by technology, AI, and constant change.

ZillyPlanet helps children build the foundations they need earlier: math confidence, critical thinking, problem solving, communication, persistence, and the ability to connect learning to the world around them.
